The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, north of the city, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the team access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
